








ASH VASE WITH YAKISUGI FINISH
Made from English ash and turned December 2024.
Finished with an ancient Japanese technique called Yakisugi which is done by using a flame to cause charring on the surface of the wood which is then sanded smooth.
Ash is a very strong wood and has a lovely eye catching grain / patterns which is heighlighted through this type of finish.
Finished using shellac sanding sealer and clear wax to nourish and enhance the wood.
Perfect for those dried flowers / Artistic twigs or as an ornamental piece.
This vase measures
190 mm Tall
50mm Diameter with a bored out hole that is 60mm deep.This vase has a gradual shaped neck which compliments its overall size nicely.
